Georgina Bloomberg

Hometown: New York City and North Salem, New York

Place of Birth: New York City, New York

Occupation: Student and professional showjumper

Why This Sport: I played lots of sports growing up and it was hard to balance them all. This is the one I was best in so I felt it was meant to be.

Hobbies: Art, going to NY sporting events, my charity program called "The Rider's Closet" that collects used or unwanted riding clothes and donates them to riders who need them, therapeutic riding programs and intercollegiate riding teams.

Most Influential Person in Career: My father because he taught me to be able to go for what you believe in no matter what others might have to say about it.

Hero / Idol: Danica Patrick

Superstitions / Rituals / Beliefs: I always have to put my right shoe or boot on before my left. No reason, it just feels right.

Sporting Philosophy / Motto: Keep your eyes on the stars, keep your feet on the ground. I believe that we should all be dreaming of the ultimate prize, whatever that may be, but still no matter what we accomplish we need to remember where we started and stay humble and hard working.

Memorable Sporting Achievement: Being the only girl in both my baseball and ice hockey leagues as a kid.

Other Awards and Honors: NAYRC Team and Individual Gold Medalist; member of 10 US Nations Cup teams and first US team to win a Samsung Super League event; winner of 5 WEF Challenge Cups and the Maxine Beard Award.
